How we work
Engagement process
A clear path from first conversation to handoff — designed for documentation audits and knowledge base structuring.
Documentation consulting fails when it jumps to templates before understanding how engineers actually search for answers. Our engagement process keeps reading, mapping, and decision-making in the open.
Discovery call
A 45-minute conversation about your documentation surface, pain points, languages, and constraints. No proposal theatre — we decide together whether an audit, architecture workshops, writing support, or a training day fits.
Access & inventory
With agreed access, we catalogue sources of truth: wikis, repositories, PDFs, and chat-pinned answers that never made it into a page. Duplicate topics and broken links are recorded, not judged.
Structure proposals
We present information architecture options, template drafts, and ownership models. You choose trade-offs with us in a working session — including what not to rewrite yet.
Handoff
You receive a written plan, diagrams where useful, and a sequenced cleanup list. Optional writing support or workshops can continue after handoff if capacity is thin.
What you prepare
- A primary contact for scheduling
- Read access (or approved exports) for in-scope spaces
- A short list of “questions people keep asking”
